Position Summary :
The Pricing Manager will lead all pricing activities for OBL’s wide portfolio of products and services. They will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance departments to perform market analysis and lead pricing for the organization's products and/or services. This role will coordinate the development of pricing guidelines and frameworks to be applied in order to meet customer, sales, marketing, product management, and corporate objectives.
Primary Responsibilities :
Articulate an overall pricing strategy that follows from OBL’s corporate vision and product strategy (including standard deal parameters for the sales organization)
Develop and implement internal pricing policies and governance, in coordination with Sales and standards set by the Pearson global Pricing Strategy & Insights team
Coordinate with internal functions, such as market research & competitive intelligence, in order to develop a fact and insight base to support pricing decisions (e.g., competitor pricing, customer value)
Conduct regular review of all pricing performance in order to recommend changes for future years, while analyzing the impact of pricing changes on profitability and revenue growth rates
Lead the internal Deal Desk along with the pricing approval process to evaluate individual pricing decisions for all customers
Develop creative solutions for non-standard deals that optimize profitability for the deal at hand as well as the rest of the portfolio and align to company strategy
Design and implement financial models to project the impact of proposed customer/product pricing arrangements
Lead the development of dashboards and performance reporting, while ensuring data governance and integrity.
General Responsibilities :
Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities and initiatives which ultimately serve the long-term product strategy
Build deep expertise and empathy for the customers and learners that use our curriculum, services, and software products
Develop rapport and trust with business owners and key stakeholders
Lead and support continual process improvement by proposing optimizations for any aspect of the pricing capability
Work with Finance partners to monitor adherence to budget including capital and non-capital expenses.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Multiple years of experience working in a pricing role at a service-oriented company with demonstrated successes and a strong track record
Competence in all aspects of pricing management (Setting/Getting/Netting)
Familiarity with and prior experience in generating insights for pricing decision making
Ability to work from home or during off hours as necessary.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
