Summary

The Software Project Manager and Scrum Master will lead and manage technical projects of varying sizes, as well as enhancement requests for multiple teams. You will use industry best practices in an agile, results driven environment across a diverse set of areas, including finance, infrastructure, test center utilization, e-commerce, registration, and scheduling. You are expected to understand, drive and effectively communicate your projects from both business and technology perspectives. In this role, you will be expected to continually grow, and challenge all of us to raise the bar even higher with your contributions to people, process, and technology. These teams are highly collaborative and are continually working on a variety of complex and challenging projects.

The Software Project Manager and Scrum Master will:

  • Establish, document, and manage project scope, schedule, timeline, and budget

  • Facilitate Agile processes and best practices with your teams (planning and execution)

  • Ensure scope, objectives and schedule are clearly understood by the teams, stakeholders, and sponsors

  • Be accountable for the delivery of projects to approved schedule, scope, and budget

  • Manage and obtain approval for changes to project scope, schedule or budget

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues

  • Facilitate Agile processes and best practices with your teams (planning and execution)

  • Assist teams to remove blockers and issues, escalate as needed

  • Coordinate work across multiple projects, enhancements, and teams

  • Establish relationships with stakeholders and clients. Understand and clearly communicate updates, risks, and issues. Drive decision making processes

  • Establish, track, and report on project budget, actual expenses, and forecasts of remaining expenses

  • Understand and advocate your team’s capacity and ability to take on new work

  • Coordinate, as required, with other teams to deliver projects and/or enhancements

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (master’s degree or related technical training and management training or experience preferred)

  • 3 or more years previous project management experience

  • 3 or more years software development project team experience (in any role)

  • Strong Agile & Scrum project management experience required

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven track record of successfully leading multiple project teams through the full software development lifecycle to deliver business goals and requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and coordination skills

  • Ability to deal effectively with change in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes

  • Knowledge of project management methods and tools

  • Budgeting and forecasting skills

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Energetic motivator that excels at managing projects across functional teams

License / Certifications:

  • PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner)

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certification preferred
