Summary

As Senior Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will have a critical role within our technology organization as we move our corporate systems from on premise to the Cloud. You will design, test and implement systems using the latest network hardware and software. You will monitor and tune everything from PKI and VPN systems, to firewalls and load balancers. You will help design and maintain connectivity to various global offices and third party entities. Additionally, you will design and implement state of the art monitoring and response systems to keep all of your equipment operating at the highest level. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate and maintain the following equipment and technologies

  • Cisco VPN connectivity

  • Fortinet firewalls and management consoles

  • Check Point firewalls and management consoles

  • F5 LTM application load balancers

  • Microsoft PKI systems including ADCS and NDES

  • Cisco routers and switches

  • Amazon and Azure VPC/VNET systems

  • Monitoring tools

  • Support production application and development teams as SME on network load balancing and firewalls both on premise and in the cloud (AWS and Azure)

  • Support application teams with troubleshooting custom web based applications

  • Participate in third level on call rotation to support 24/7/365 operations

  • Ensure Incident, Service Requests and Problem queues are maintained to meet client SLA’s and KPI’s

  • Manage performance tuning and capacity planning of network resources

  • Perform Move, Additions, Deletion and Changes as necessary in accordance with departmental change policy

  • Maintain code for configuring load balancers, proxies firewalls, routers and switches

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree computer Science, MIS or equivalent technology discipline although relevant experience will also be taken into consideration in lieu of degree

  • Experience in cloud operations (AWS, Azure)

  • 5 years experience in Data/Security Networking, within a support environment.

  • Comprehensive experience with Cisco, CheckPoint and Fortinet firewalls and networking equipment

  • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.

  • Proven successful delivery of high-quality, cost-effective infrastructure services in a complex, high-availability environment.

  • High level packet level troubleshooting capabilities

  • High level experience decoding packet captures

  • High level experience with PCI and VPN protocols including TLS and IPSec

  • Experience implementing infrastructure as code (IAC)

  • Experience with shell/python/perl or other scripting tool

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience moving from on premise to cloud

  • Familiarity with cloud based disaster recovery and HA system development

  • Continuous infrastructure testing

  • Designing outage-less systems using practices such as Blue / Green or Rolling Deployments

  • Certifications (CISCO, Checkpoint, Fortinet, etc. )
