About the Role:
We are seeking an Associate Content Developer to join our dynamic Content Development department. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of content developers to build and enhance examinations. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and maintaining exam question databases
Facilitating item development meetings
Preparing examinations for publication
Collecting and reporting data related to team activities
Recruiting and coordinating with external subject matter experts (SMEs)
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of exam questions and question metadata, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll handle multiple requests and work closely with your team to prioritize tasks. We value self-motivated individuals who can consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred background includes experience in content or test development, editing, proofreading, database management, or roles demonstrating attention to detail across diverse fields.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare computer-based examinations for publication
Build examination specifications
Validate examination content before publication
Assist in client meetings for content development, including meeting facilitation
Recruit and manage electronic paperwork for external SMEs
Maintain databases, perform data entry and referencing tasks
Proofread content across various applications, including Word, Excel, and proprietary Pearson VUE systems
Work environment:
Use of phone, PC, and keyboard for data input
This is a remote position, with occasional travel required to one of the following local Pearson VUE offices as needed for training and company meetings:

Ability to negotiate transportation for off-site meetings and to carry and keep on-person a laptop during transport
Travel requirement up to 10%
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The starting salary for the full-time position is $45,000.
