Pearson ServiceNow Discovery Admin/Developer in Bangalore, India

The ServiceNow Discovery Admin will be responsible for day-to-day Discovery administration, assisting the other support team members in general L2 platform support, participating in the agile development process for platform, minor development enhancements and defects, and general support for all areas of the platform including but not limited to: ITSM, HR, ITOM, Service Portal, Orchestration, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Primary technical effort is to mature and expand ServiceNow Discovery product which feeds the ServiceNow CMDB

  • Assists in the responsibility of the overall health of the CMDB utilizing tools such as CMDB Health Dashboard, Data Certification, IRE, etc.

  • Ensures continued adherence to the Common Service Data Model

  • Ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used for identifying, recording, maintaining, reporting on, and verifying IT asset configurations and associated documentation.

  • Manages the process by which relationships are created and updated in the CMDB, such as key IT and business services and applications to servers and databases.

  • Setup, update, maintain MID Servers for use by the ServiceNow platform

  • Uses scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality create scripts, scheduled jobs, business rules, to achieve required business outcomes

  • Perform integrations and process automation using Service Graph Connectors, APIs, Integration Hub.

  • Load, manipulate and maintain data.

  • Provide level 2 & 3 support for the platform

  • Perform system and integration testing utilizing Automated Testing Framework where possible

  • Hands-on design, development and deployment experience with the ServiceNow platform

  • Assist in new feature development including custom applications

  • Assist in semi-annual platform upgrades

Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering ServiceNow Discovery

  • Experience establishing integrations using APIs and Service Graph Connectors

  • Familiarity with developing in an Agile environment

  • Working proficiency with Javascript, AngularJS, and HTML

  • Familiarity AJAX, JSON, Powershell, and CSS preferred

  • Strong development experience with at least 3 of the following: ITSM, HR, Service Portal, CMDB Discovery, Service Mapping, Integrations, Mobile app, Virtual Agent, Performance Analytics

  • ITIL foundations+ certification preferred

  • ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or CIS certification required
