Pearson Software Developer (Remote) in American Fork, Utah

This position is based in American Fork, UT, but remote employees are welcome!

JOB SUMMARY

As a Certiport Software Developer you will develop and maintain systems that support the certification exam delivery process. You will utilize existing and evolving company processes and practices to build and enhance the customer experience.

As a software developer you will play an integral role on an Agile Scrum team so the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and have fun(!) are some of the important skills needed to be successful.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Software Design and Development

  • Participate in the design of systems to be developed.

  • Estimate effort and develop the software per the requirements and design, including test automation.

  • Actively participate on an Agile Scrum team including:

  • Meeting established deadlines

  • Communicating status to project management

  • Developing, testing, and deploying code

  • Performing design and code reviews

  • Participating in Scrum ceremonies/meetings

  • Continued Learning and Career Development

  • Stay up-to-date on industry practices and technologies that can be used in the development of awesome solutions.

Education and/or Experience:

What you should have…

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent science preferred, but combined experience and skills will be considered

  • Object-oriented development experience

  • 3+ years of experience developing Windows solutions using Microsoft technologies

  • 3+ years of experience with .NET development – C#

  • REST services experience

It would be great if you also had…

  • Cloud, Microsoft Azure development experience

  • Angular experience

  • JavaScript experience

  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools

  • Proficiency with SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript frameworks

  • Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server experience

  • UI/UX experience and skills

  • Agile process experience
