The appointed individual will performthe administration and invigilation of exams; this includes understanding,implementing and taking ownership of all aspects of the operational policiesand procedures of all examination processes. The individual will alsodemonstrate a high level of customer service to candidates and be responsiblefor the continual enhancement of the brand image.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Line manager for all test centrestaff regarding employee relations, training & development, absencemanagement and performance management

  • Support the Regional Manager in recruitmentissues and conduct staff interviews as required

  • Carry out 1-2-1 meetings, PerformanceReviews and Development Reviews with staff as required

  • Maintain and update local siteadministration and documentation

  • Ensure all compliance standardsrelating to the test centre operation and Pearson VUE stringent securityprotocols are adhered to

  • Ensure personal responsibility forunderstanding and delivery of testing following updates and changes to clientrequirements / testing, as they occur

  • Create draft site staffing schedules,and collect test centre time keeping records, for communication to the RegionalManager

  • Create and send other reports andinformation as requested by the Regional Manager

  • Serve as the local contact point foroperations, building management, site security, deliveries, vendors, etc, andescalate issues to the Regional Manager as appropriate

  • Verify correct staffing levels aremaintained according to plan, and notify the Regional Manager of any and allstaffing issues

  • Oversee overall day-to-day operation ofthe PPC, and co-ordinate activities and instructions from Regional Managers andother Test Centre Management

  • Monitor supplies inventory, and orderinventory when applicable within budget guidelines

Key Activities

  • Provide a high level of customerservice in the test centres at all times

  • Ensure candidate needs are met withunderstanding and respect

  • Maintain professional relationshipswith client representatives

  • Ensure equipment is operational andtest stations are free of extraneous materials

  • Review transmission and error logs inlocally operating software, to ensure proper functioning (including scheduledownload and results upload processes)

  • Periodic download and review ofexaminations and test centre schedules

  • Review test schedule and prepare forcandidate(s), including those that may have special needs

  • Sign candidates in (includingverification of candidate identity) according to Pearson VUE and client sign-inprocedures

  • As required, explain the test processto candidates and deal with other queries

  • Understand testing needs and proceduresfor each client

  • Ensure the integrity and security ofthe tests are maintained and that they are supervised to the required standard

  • Comply with all incident reporting andescalation procedures

  • If applicable, print and providepost-test score reports to candidates

  • If applicable, schedule appointmentsfor possible call-in and / or walk-in candidates

  • Communicate / work with Pearson VUEtechnical support staff to investigate and fix technical issues

  • Maintain own competencies in all of thesystems and procedures and request training as necessary

  • Adhere to all Company policies andprocedures as noted in the formal documentation; especially IT, HR and Security

  • Undertake all accreditations and skillschecks as required by the business

  • Support and deliver any events andalternative test delivery processes as defined, both in permanent and temporarylocations

  • Ensure all hours are recorded andauthorised within Company guidelines

  • Comply with business needs on a day today basis

  • Assist and support with businessinitiatives to maximise centre profitability

  • Perform other administrative tasks asrequired

  • Perform daily test centre opening andclosing procedures

  • Help to ensure a clean, professional,quiet testing atmosphere in the centre

  • Undertake reasonable additional dutiesto ensure the smooth running of the test centre

Essential Experience &Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer facing role

  • Experience of co-ordinating andadministering activities of a team

  • Strong administration and reportingskills

  • Able to function as a representativeand professional contact point for internal and external stakeholders

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills bothwritten and verbal, in both technical and functional areas

  • Able to work independently as well aspart of a team

  • Must enjoy working with people, becomfortable in a quiet environment, have effective time management skills, andbe able to work effectively under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail andorganisational skills are required

  • Must be Pearson VUE certified for aTesting Administrator and pass a re-certification annually to ensure thatskills are kept current and problem areas identified

  • PC literate, comfort with the use of afull range of Microsoft Office and Windows applications

Desirable Experience &Qualifications

  • Experience in a testing environment

Working Arrangements

  • This is a full time position and youwill be required to work 30 hours per week

  • You will be based in one of the PearsonVUE test centres

  • Some local travel to other PPC’s ortemporary locations may be required

  • A flexible approach to working isessential for this position as opening hours will vary according to the volumeof tests booked.

  • Full days will be required

  • The office is open Monday to Friday7:30 am - 4:15pm, Saturday 7:30am - 12:15am. The office will be open one lateevening per week 11:00am - 7:45pm.

  • You will be required to work a varietyof days and specific days cannot be specified.

  • Salary – £18,250(£22,522.50 pro rata)
