M ARY –

The College and Career Readiness Faculty Advisor is a key member of the Customer Success team within the Pearson North America Services Organization. They will be deployed to support strategic service contracts, acting as a subject-matter expert to advise on the implementation of the Pearson digital product and to consult the faculty/department/administrator on the redesign of their courses and/or curriculum and how to best align Pearson digital products to support the initiative. The Faculty Advisor will have expert-level knowledge of Pearson digital implementation models and be experienced in the courses and discipline areas assigned to them. They will be able to recommend a digital setup and configuration to best meet the company or department’s teaching and learning objectives. The Faculty Advisor will also be responsible for equipping instructors with the necessary skills and information they will need to maximize the impact of the Pearson digital product in their course each term, which may include facilitating face-to-face and virtual trainings or workshops and/or creating implementation-specific product tutorials or videos to support proper rollout and usage.

ESSENTIALSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in assigned discipline area is required

  • At least 5 years teaching experience at the collegiate level

  • Experience teaching with Pearson MyLab and Mastering products suchas MyFoundationsLab and MyStudentSuccessLab; Online teaching experience a plus

  • LMS Experience preferred

  • High Achievement: Collegiate Teaching Award(s)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with assigned departments or companies, providingdiscipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the rightintegration of Pearson digital products and an implementation that will bestsupport the teaching and learning goals.

  • Understand and apply the implementation best practices and resultssummarized in Pearson’s Results Library:http://www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com/northamerica/educators/results/results-library.php.

  • Consult on digital assessment, grading and reporting strategies;Provide deep understanding and best practices knowledge when integrating with aLearning Management System.

  • Develop personalized training and implementation resources for thedepartment, such as recorded trainings, videos, tutorials, handouts andself-paced modules.

  • Advise on customer specifications for some delivery of customcontent; Pedagogical QA as needed.

  • Develop scalable solutions that capitalize on Educator led bestpractices and trainings such as occasional webinars, virtual conferences, oronline resources

  • 25% travel; Conduct face-to-face training and implementationworkshops as contracted.
