Our consultants provide free advice, assessment demonstrations and training in the areas of Psychology, Speech Pathology, Special Education and Occupational Therapy.

Our Clinical Testing and Assessments team is currently seeking an Occupational Therapy Consultant on a fixed-term contract (9-12 months)to cover a maternity leave absence.

This outstanding opportunity will suit a qualified Occupational Therapist who has experience in sales, account management and training.

Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, you will be required to travel frequently to various locations across Australia in order to provide informative demonstration sessions showcasing Pearson’s OT product range. Your excellent presentation skills will enable you to train clients in the administration and interpretation of the products and you will be adept at determining clients' business needs.

You will have solid input into Pearson’s business development and go-to-market strategies and will utilise your expertise across a range of different disciplines to enable Pearson’s growth strategy.

In addition to the above, you will be laser focussed on customer experience and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with our level of service. You will be highly organised and have outstanding communication skills.

Key deliverables:

  • Increase revenue by actively promoting Pearson Clinical Assessment’s products and services through product demonstrations, training and conferences.

  • Preparing and delivering product demonstrations to Occupational Therapists and other health and educational professionals

  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to generate sales and to determine product requirements and training needs

  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders

  • Identify and develop new markets for new and existing products


  • Solid commercial experience working in the Occupational Therapy market

  • Experience with Psychometric assessments in the Occupational Therapy market (Paediatric or Driver OT assessments preferred but not essential)

  • Experience in developing and delivering Training Programmes to adult learners including Adult Learning Principles

  • Experience in clinically using Psychometric assessment

  • Eligible for Membership of Occupational Therapy Australia and New Zealand Association of Occupational Therapists

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • A background in sales and account management

  • Outstanding customer service and influencing skills
