This is a term time only role, working 195 days per annum. The role is home based, covering Local Authorities in North East England. Candidates should be located within reasonable travelling distance within this area.

This a home based role, a laptop and mobile phone is provided however candidates should have a reliable home broadband connection.

The purpose of this role isto build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, andclosing business through a range of business development activities to schoolswithin a designated field sales territory.


  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customers; discovering and exploring opportunities within the defined customer segments as directed by the business

  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other company sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, and implementation, as needed or as directed by management

  • Builds relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current spend

  • Refers opportunities for growth in products and services to other company sales resources as appropriate

  • Create and execute a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales target and supports team and company revenue goals

  • Manages new customers’ implementation by managing customers’ expectations

  • Ensures a seamless transition of customer responsibility to the Digital Account Management team

  • Assist other sales and services resources when called upon by the Regional Sales Manager


  • Achieves assigned sales target

  • Achieves new account acquisition targets

  • Usage of CRM and other sales applications

  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations


  • Reports to the Regional Sales Manager

  • Enlists the support of Digital Account Management, Digital Support and Customer Service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.

  • Where applicable, transitions accounts to the Digital Account Management Team.

  • Works with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and service resolution objectives are met.

  • This position has no direct reports

  • Qualifications


  • Outside sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment

  • Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business

  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads

  • Show an understanding of the challenges facing the market and can illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed


  • This position will require frequent travel

  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license

  • Candidates must be based within territory or within a reasonable travelling distance of the territory
