  • The Senior Vice President of Inside Sales is responsible for the developmentand execution of an annual sales action plan, program(s) and directing theInside Sales force to achieve sales objectives for the LS organization'sproducts within given expense guidelines.

  • Exercise independentjudgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and thereby set newprecedents.

  • Tracks sales performance against objectives and informs managementof results.

  • Works on significant and unique issues or problems that requires anin-depth knowledge of own discipline and how it inter-relates to otherdisciplines.

  • Understands and communicates the organization’s products,services, functional area, business strategies and the company’s goals.

  • Hires,trains, mentors, coaches and manages inside sales/call centerstaff.

  • May manage relationships with channel partners or other majorclients.


  • Responsible for achieving budgeted revenue objectives acrossall programs and services

  • Annual sales target in the $150M range

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Manages approximately 15 Sales Managers (5-6 directly)located in two Inside Sales centers: Chandler, AZ, and San Antonio, TX.

  • Leads Inside Sales organization of approximate 135 staffmembers

  • Liaise with Field Sales Management to develop sellingstrategies that maximize revenue from Inside Sales accounts



  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree or Ph.D. inBusiness Management preferred.

  • Prior experience working within the public sector or publicservices industry with a focus on immediate responsiveness.

  • Experience in the Education space (instructional resources,technology, etc.) desired.

  • Requires 10 years of senior management experience directingand leading large, successful Inside Sales teams, with demonstrable success inachieving financial targets.

  • Experience working collaboratively with field salesorganizations to maximize sales and customer satisfaction results from InsideSales selling efforts.

  • Experience with successfully managing a balanced budget& sales forecasting process with Senior Leadership and Finance partners.


  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a successful inside salesand call center team.

  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn and respond quickly and acommitment to excellence and service are paramount.

  • Developing strategic plans that support companygoals; formulate effective strategies to find funding sources.

  • Positive outlook and approach to leadership.

  • Proficient with technology; desirable.

  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven experience in developing and managing operatingbudgets.


  • Oversee management of Inside Sales and call center teamsnationally

  • Ensures Inside sales team is fully trained on theorganization’s products and services.

  • Communicate and instill company vision and strategy toentire Inside Sales team.

  • Establish strategic plan for Inside Sales focused onincreasing sales revenues while reducing expenses with high levels of customersatisfaction in mind.

  • Ensure pipeline growth will sustain revenue targetsto meet company revenue and expense goals.

  • Conduct forecast and pipeline review meetings with senior managementand direct reports.

  • Based on student enrollment data and other metrics developinside sales territories; collaborating with Field Sales management todetermine Inside Sales accounts and determines goals.

  • Observe industry trends and report significant changes oropportunities to sales management and/or product management

  • Hire, develop, evaluate and motivate sales managers toincrease productivity of their sales staffs.

  • Serves as an escalation point for issues beyond teamauthority with customer; resolve team conflicts as necessary.

  • Assist with development of new sales materials and marketingplans

  • Provide feedback to product development, marketing, programmanagement, and other supporting departments regarding market trends,competition and changes in teacher licensure/recertification and other factorsimpacting sales
