We are Pearson, the world’s leading learning company. We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, energetic, POSITIVE, proactive and PERSUASIVE Appointment Setters. You will support our high performing National Sales team by generating sales appointments with Primary School decision makers.
This is a new business role but you won’t be directly closing sales. Working towards daily, weekly and monthly appointment booking targets, you’ll make a high volume of outbound calls, you’ll speak with key decision makers including headteachers and subject co-ordinators, to create interest without hassling or pressurising contacts.
Our Appointment Scheduler role is phone-based, so it’s essential that you have excellent telephone skills. You’ll need to be confident placing calls frequently, with a highly affable phone manner and the ability to build rapport.
So who are we looking for…
You don’t need to have any prior experience in the Education sector, although we do like to hire people who have a genuine interest in this sector. We provide a layered approach to training with the opportunity to shadow experienced colleagues as well as colleagues in the field in order to gain knowledge.
We do require you to have experience of telesales or appointment setting, have excellent organisational skills and last but not least a positive and determined attitude to work.
If you have a passion for speaking to people, influencing others and are driven to supporting schools in achieving the best for their pupils, then we would love to meet you to discuss the role further.

A job that fits around School term-time
