We have has anexceptional opening for a Regional Sales Manager within our Math and Science Division that can be based in the Midwest region of the UnitedStates.

Qualifications

Regional Sales Managers, asenior sales management position, are responsible for roughly $150m in revenueand manage 3-4 Learning Technology Specialists and 3-5 district sales managerswho in turn manage approximately 35 sales representatives. This is a keyLeadership role where they are responsible for orchestrating a sales strategyto achieve the sales and editorial goals for the region and publishingdivisions inclusive of custom solutions and technology platforms. RegionalManagers hire, train and develop district managers for the region and overseethe attraction of talent into sales representative positions that call oncolleges and universities. The Regional Manager is also accountable foranalysis, planning, performance reviews, sales forecasts and financial management(inclusive of expense and sampling budgets).

This position requires anundergraduate college degree and significant sales and first line managementexperience within the educational courseware industry with demonstratedsuccess. It requires strong sales presentation skills as well as accountdevelopment skills. It requires strong leadership skills to motivate salesstaff. Strong communication skills are critical as the Regional Manager will beworking closely with a wide variety of internal departments at Pearson as wellas working with a broad representation of our customer base.
