Role overview &Purpose

This is an excitingtime for Pearson as we move toward one Global HR System. This role is a largecontributor to this goal and will support the new global HR System of Oracle Fusion/OracleCloud HCM (OBIEE/OBIA) and our global HR reporting needs.

The Data Analyst(Advisor) role is in a team of 3 supervised by the Data Analyst Senior Advisor,the team reports to the Global Data Manager and interfaces between the GlobalData Director and the wider global/regional HR teams

Key Deliverables

  • A key member of the team, led by theSenior Advisor andcovering Asia, Americas and EMEA geographic regions

  • Acts as the regional data advisor and the primarycontact for assigned geographical regions with the ability to work across otherregions where required

  • Responsible for auditing the integrity andconsistency of HR data entered and maintained by the data processing team andkey liaison with local country data submitters

  • Responsible for efficiently ensuringthe quality of data, policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Provides responses to issues andensures necessary follow up through to resolution

  • Acts as the regional data specialistand the primary contact for assigned geographical regions with the ability towork across other regions where required

  • Ensures quality, efficiency and that data policiesand procedures are adhered to within the teams

  • Provides responses to issues and ensures necessaryfollow up through to resolution

  • Contributes to the data governance strategy andensures teams adhere to the strategy

  • Consistently applies best practice principles andreviews processes

Qualifications / Educationrequirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HumanResources, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience

Experience requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ HRIS softwareexperience and high volume data entry processing of human resources operationstransactions and data requirements.

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Previous experience working in a sharedservice environment and working with other countries or global teams isdesirable

  • Previous knowledge of OracleFusion/Oracle Cloud HCM (OBIEE/OBIA) and Taleo preferred

  • Experience in understanding all aspectsof the HR function and handling HR data, especially Workforce Management andrelated Oracle software

Overall functions, duties and responsibilities:

  • HRIS data entry,maintaining database information, updating employee information and records

  • Acquires a thoroughknowledge of company policies, principles, practices and standards of humanresource administration in assigned area

  • Ensures dataintegrity and assists with resolution of issues through research,communication, collaboration and problem solving

  • Responsibilitiesinclude reviewing documents submitted requesting changes in salary, jobs,departments, locations and adding HR specific data, including pay increases forexample

  • Audits data,including new hires and job changes and ensures any corrections needed toemployee self-service transactions for effective processing, includingenrolment in benefit plans are followed

  • Performs auditsbetween the HRIS system and the payroll system to ensure data is accurate

  • Uses functional andtechnical knowledge to provide end-users with general guidance and informaltraining as needed

  • Manages communications with local country data submitters, local andglobal HR leaders on all data maintenance status, progress and issues

  • Understands and maintains country specific legislative requirements
