About you:

Join Mondly as a Senior User Researcher and become a cornerstone in our mission to revolutionise the language learning. In this role, you'll be the leader for all user research initiatives and would establish processes from scratch, leveraging your expertise to uncover actionable insights that drive product strategy and design. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of our educational platform by deeply understanding and advocating for our users' needs. Key areas of focus :

  • Lead and own end-to-end user research process across all product squads, identifying research opportunities to conducting studies and delivering actionable insights, establishing and implementing best practices and methodologies to ensure comprehensive user understanding.

  • Develop, own and define a holistic user research strategy in collaboration with product operations, product management, and design teams, aligning it with the company’s goals and product roadmap.

  • Utilize a variety of research methods, including but not limited to surveys, interviews, usability testing, and ethnographic studies, to gather qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Synthesize findings from diverse data sources into coherent, insightful narratives and recommendations, making complex information easily understandable for all stakeholders.

  • Analyze and model data based on research findings

  • Serve as an advocate for user needs , ensuring that user perspectives are considered in all product-related decisions. Communicate research findings and implications effectively across all levels of the organization, from team members to executive leadership, ensuring that user insights inform product decisions and design solutions.

  • Educate and train team members and stakeholders on user research best practices and the value of a user-centered design approach.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the user research process, tools, and methodologies to keep pace with industry standards and technological advancements.

  • Stay abreast of research trends, tools, and technologies, applying new techniques and best practices to refine and advance our user research capabilities

  • Provide support and guidance to product squads in framing and prioritizing research questions, interpreting data, and implementing research findings.

  • Mentor junior researchers and other team members, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning within the organization.

About you & skills that will help you to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally with a focus on EdTech

  • Proven track record of conducting and applying user research to influence product decisions and design solutions.

  • Expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and the ability to select the right method based on research questions and constraints.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize research data into actionable insights.

  • Ability to link quantitative and qualitative research methods into holistic insights.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex research findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences .

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, engineering, and marketing.

  • Solid knowledge of user research tools and software (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.) and basic understanding of data analysis software or methods.

  • Basic knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) is a plus.

  • Passion for user-centered design and a strong advocate for user research within the organization.

  • Experience mentoring junior researchers or team members, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.
