Trainingfrom Pearson provides training for teachers in the UK and Internationally.

Trainingis supplied face to face and online to support teachers and educators to helpenable effective teaching and learning using Pearson products and serviceseffectively and with confidence. This includes ‘product training’ and‘pedagogical’ training delivered more independently of Pearson brands orproducts.

Trainingfrom Pearson is a team providing business development, management and deliveryservices, from a pool of expert trainers and writers.


  • working with internal teams, existing customers and potential customers

  • managing (directly or through internal stakeholders) the delivery ofhigh quality services for content and content production, logistics, venue booking, catering, travel and hotels,delegate booking and event management, delegate/customer communications, billing and revenue management andcustomer services

  • managing (directly or through internal stakeholders) the recruitment,development, deployment and payment of a pool of high quality trainers andwriters

To coordinate thedelivery and/or production of materials for online and face to face events,from receipt of an initial query through to successful delivery on the day andpost event evaluation.

This role includesaccountability for:

  • Ensuringadherence to any regulatory requirements

  • Working withinternal colleagues where necessary to ensure that our training programme ofevents and packs is set up in accordance with regulatory requirements

  • Liaisingwith the contracting team to issue and confirm trainer/writer/vetter contracts

  • Processingpayment requests for trainers/writers/vetters as required and issuing training/writing/vettingfees

  • Monitoringgeneric mailboxes and CRM, dealing with customer queries in a timely manner andwithin agreed SLAs

  • Building andmaintaining positive working relationships with our pool of trainers, customersand internal stakeholders from beginning to completion of an event

  • Building andmaintaining positive working relationships with internal colleagues to ensuresuccessful delivery of an event

  • Working withyour line manager to actively initiate new ideas for training courses and packsand process improvement

  • Effectively managingand communicating room, equipment, catering requirements as well as finaldelegate information and pack/material production with venues and trainers

  • Acting as athe back-office point of communication on day of event

  • Maintaining accuratedata within the Events Management System and/all TfP systems and spreadsheetsto support visibility and accuracy of performance and data

  • Supportingthe setup of London-based events and conferences on-the-day (if required):welcome trainer, unpack, check and distribute packs, deliver, check and set-upAV equipment, provide last minute administrative support to the trainer whenrequired.

  • Providing accurateand up to date management information as required by line manager and wider TfP

  • Monitoringdeadlines/KPIs/SLAs of the entire process to ensure compliance and maintainservice levels, escalating to line manager should tolerances be exceeded

  • Acting as across team resource, supporting other teams within the department, during peakperiods, if required.

  • Working withour suppliers to ensure they adhere to their agreed performance levels andraising concerns with the appropriate management level depending on theseverity of the issue.

  • Ensuring allprocesses are followed to maximise efficiency of timeliness and accuracy withinthe team.

  • Taking completeownership and accountability for any events and packs assigned to you andworking cross-team to ensure the event runs without issue.

  • Takingcomplete ownership and accountability for any queries or issues within the teamand/or TfP as a group and ensuring resolution of issue through to completion.

  • Ensuring thevolume of event cancellation and postponements are minimal, and not driven byissues caused by TfP.

  • Supportingnew starters with on-the-job training as required.

Training Coordinator Specific:

  • Coordinatingthe set-up and booking of training (both face to face and online) forindividual centres in line with management instruction

  • Managing theevent logistics (where applicable) for trainers travelling Internationally

  • Liaisingwith trainers and centres over training dates and requirements for each event

  • Coordinating/ensuringthe booking of venues as required, prioritising suitable venues (throughexternal suppliers as appropriate) to ensure that the most cost effectivesolutions are provided

  • Ensuringthat delegates receive adequate and timely information about any changes to anevent, especially if a cancellation or change of venue occurs



  • High level of communication, organisation and the ability to effectively prioritise workload and administer a number of events at any given time

  • Excellent customer service, and the ability to co-ordinate and carry out activities with limited supervision. Good interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with internal and external customers

  • Prepared to be flexible in their approach to supporting others to deliver

  • Prepared to be open to the need for the role to evolve to meet new deadlines and objectives as the business’ goals and targets change especially in how we provide training to different customers.



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.


  • Certificate in Programme and Project Support or equivalent and/or Events Management Qualification

Previous Experience


  • Demonstration either through work experience, summer placements or previous employment a good working knowledge of project delivery

  • Excellent experience of working alongside people of different levels and background

  • Excellent customer service skills


  • Knowledge of end-to-end production of training events, face to face and online

  • Some experience of working in the education sector

IT Literacy


  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages in particular Microsoft Excel at intermediate level. Ability to learn new software quickly


  • Advanced Excel, experience of management information reporting and events management systems

Previous experience of online delivery systems
