Introduction:

The Workforce Skills (WfS) business division will be the driving force in realizing this ambition.

One of the cornerstones of Workforce Skills is our Vocational Qualifications (VQ) business. Every year, we deliver nearly 1 million qualification outcomes to BTEC students and Apprentices, spanning all sectors, ages and education settings. We are proud of the impact that we have and maintain a robust, complex qualifications delivery operation at scale and in line with Ofqual regulatory requirements.

Role Overview:

We are looking to hire a Operational Delivery Support Administrator on a short term Fixed term contact basis to help our delivery teams through the summer peak season for the Vocational Qualifications business. This is a critical role for the delivery team, helping us ensure we have collated all the necessary key documentation, papers and results for all our leaners awaiting certification in the summer series.

Responsibilities include:

General project support and co-ordination:

  • General administration support for project and delivery managers

  • Following up tasks and actions with a range of business owners

Plan management:

  • Maintaining and creating delivery & milestone plans

  • Tracking progress against milestones

  • Creating and updating slide decks with key KPI data

Maintain project controls:

  • Support the administration of the RAID (risks, actions, issues, decisions) logs across all Vocational Qualifications

  • Monitor and chase down Business Owners to ensure RAID profile is continually maintained

  • Strong organisation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability communicate and interact well with people

  • Organise tasks in a logical and efficient manner

  • A self-motivator with a go-get attitude

  • Strong time management

  • A multi-tasker willing to make appropriate calls on prioritisation

Skills you will develop in this role:

  • Exposure to high-profile projects in the Vocational Qualifications business and partners

  • Understand and experience what it's like to be involved in delivering strategic and business-critical projects and programmes.

  • Develop core project management skills in task management, planning and organisation.

Experience & qualifications

  • Any previous exposure to project work would be beneficial

  • Any previous working experience in customer services/working with a variety of stakeholder would be beneficial

  • A great opportunity for graduate or college leader looking to gain work experience as part of their early career
