SUMMARY

Pearson is seeking an experienced client-facing technologyservices manager to lead technology platform services in an on-site,client-facing role for a national nonprofit client. The Technology Platforms Manager will coordinate with his/her peers to deliver asuite of marketing, publishing, print, and digital/mobile content creation anddistribution services.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and operationallysound, with the ability to create and streamline operational processes foron-time delivery within budget in accordance with organizational keyperformance indicators (KPIs). We seek ahigh-energy, hard-working “player/coach” capable of leading by rolling up hisor her sleeves to get things done. The Technology Platforms Manager will be accountable for delivering a consistentlypositive customer experience. Thisleader will be part of a team of Pearson creative, editorial, and accountmanagement specialists who partner closely with the client in developing arobust print and digital content model that creates relevant and contemporarycontent and aligns initiatives with organizational priorities.

He/she will have responsibility for the following areas:

-Mobile applications for digital content delivery(magazines, program materials, and training)

-Workflow efficiency platform for editorial and creativeservices team (Meta-DaVinci)

-Key operations for digital asset management platform (AdobeExperience Manager Assets)

This leader will manage a small team of contentlibrarians/specialists responsible for effective ingestion, categorization, andorganization of digital assets across multiple channels (text, photography, andvideo). The team will play a key role insimplification of digital/web experience and scaling of content across channels.

This is a key position within the overall Pearson clientaccount leadership team. It is imperative that the Technology Platforms Managerhave an assertive, collaborative leadership style, with a strong understandingof processes, systems, and people required to deliver high-quality solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primarily responsible for software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, vendor management, user test case development, defect resolution and the release process.

Perform discoveries, investigate client needs and gatherproject requirements to support new interactive projects or enhancements toexisting core systems and procedures

Identify, manage, and provide ongoing measurements ofmetrics and KPIs on mobile and content management

Manage project timelines, ensuring that projects aredelivered on-time, to scope and within budget.

Conduct usability tests, assess user experience, interpretresults and make recommendations

Track and report performance issues and resolutions

Collaborate with interactive teams to launch new featuresand products, aiding in proof of concept, a/b testing, and trackingimplementations

Help define target audiences, and work with the team todevelop a multi-channel content strategy and plan

Document, establish and implement best practices, andprovide recommendations for compliance when necessary

Provide technical assistance to internal and externalclients

Monitor data feeds to ensure adequacy and quality

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accreditedcollege or university

Three years of recent, relevant project management workexperience, including in-depth experience with online projects

SQL Server (back up and recovery, query (T-SQL), indexing and tuning)

Reporting Writing (SSRS)

Data Warehouse (ETL, SSIS, SSAS)

Software Deployments (run packages, import data and code snippets, modify java/java script)

AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, load balancers, VPC, networking)

Windows Server (WSUS, PowerShell, certificates)

Strong sense of UX best practices, web architecture, anddesign fundamentals

Comprehensive knowledge of HTML, tag management, and Googleanalytics

Experience in B2B and B2C social media campaigns

Strong written and oral communications skills including theability to successfully communicate complicated information to both internaland external partners

Preferred qualifications include:

-Experience in Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, AdobeCreative Suite, HTML, Mobile Application Development, and digital publishingplatforms

-Experience with A/B and multivariate testing

-Three years of experience in each of digital marketing,digital Project Management, and project management
