The Operational Processing Lead (OPL) has lead responsibility for identifying, planning, and supporting the execution and troubleshooting of the operational processing needed to deliver an assigned customer account.

The Operations Processing Lead will:

  • During administration planning, works with the project team to identify and list all operational processing steps needed to deliver each administration;

  • Ensures that documentation is complete for all operational processing steps;

  • Confirms with the Job Processing Management Team (JPM) that all necessary preparations have been made to execute expected jobs;

  • Alleviates the need for the project team to engage development teams directly regarding operational processing;

  • Serves as a resource for the JPM team, the Production Inquiries and Requests (PIR) team, and the Incident Management team when questions arise regarding operational processing.

  • Lead responsibility for facilitating the identification of all operational processing needed to deliver a program;

  • Lead responsibility for documentation of the operational processing needs, plans, and processes for a program;

  • Lead responsibility for insuring the JPM team is prepared and equipped to complete the JPM job execution requests that are planned for a program;

  • Lead responsibility for insuring the PIR team is prepared and equipped to execute the PIR production operational tasks that are planned for a program;

  • Partners with the data analyst role to identify ncount checks as appropriate for jobs and identifies paths to incorporate ncount checks into the jobs themselves;

  • Provides support and input to the Delivery BA on any requirements related to operational processing;

  • Provides support and input to the Validation and Quality Leads on program testing related to operational processing;

  • Provides support and input to the Incident Management team on production incidents related to operational processing;

  • Proactively escalates operational processing program risks and issues to the project team;

  • Coordinates as needed with Development Teams regarding Development involvement in operational processing;

  • Provides support and input to the JPM team in troubleshooting any issues executing jobs.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline

  • 10 years relevant software system implementation experience

  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases

  • Ability to understand philosophy of architecture

  • Ability to provide technical leadership to a team

  • Must have strong time management and project management skills including the ability to work well under pressure, plan and set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines
