Overall Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide security by monitoring main entrance ofthe scoring facility, checking badges of scoring personnel, and logging in anddistributing authorized badges to visitors according to company regulations.

  • Assist in control of business sensitiveinformation including maintenance of security badges, records, and sensitivematerials pertaining to the nature of Pearson business.

  • Perform general clerical functions includingfiling, typing, mail sorting and distribution, answering phones, send/receivefaxes, photocopying, etc.

  • Maintain logs and other records according toestablished procedures.

  • Use personal computer to develop and maintainspreadsheets, perform word processing functions, data entry, etc.

  • Operate and request maintenance upkeep on officemachines, including fax, photocopier, laser printers, etc.

  • Give and receive information by phone relatingto products and services.

  • Maintain supply inventory through ordering,receipt, and stocking of supplies.

  • Check for completeness and accuracy oftimesheets and key-enter data into timekeeping system.

  • Use HR Hiring Record to create and maintain theProject Attrition Spreadsheet.

  • Assist Human Resources (HR) in administrativeduties as needed.

  • Provide before-and after-hours support asneeded.

  • Support all LEAN Six initiatives as directed bythe Site Manager.

  • Receive direction from the Site Manager andperform other duties as assigned.


Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in a clerical, secretarial oradministrative support position required.

  • Demonstrated skill of typing 30 words perminute.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with PCs, experiencewith Microsoft suite software required.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skillsrequired.

  • Must be able to multi-task, set priorities, beflexible, and work in a changing environment.

  • Knowledge in use of basic office equipment (copier,fax machine, and telephone) preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Englishboth verbally and in writing.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
