Senior Digital Producer


The Role: This position will identify, scope, develop, and produce digital products within the IT and MIS digital catalog. You will work with Pearson portfolio management, content and digital studio, product model management, authors, content experts, and vendors to deliver stable, high-quality products to improve learner outcomes and maximize instructor impact. You will define and prioritize digital development needs and production schedules for MyLabs IT and MIS.

The Candidate: You are an experienced digital producer and project manager capable of working effectively under multiple simultaneous deadlines with a variety of team members and stakeholders. You are comfortable determining and communicating risks during all phases of development and production. You are an agile problem solver, ready to propose solutions to any issues uncovered. You are flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude when operating in an environment of continual flux.


  • Drive new process and project management tools; improve existing processes to increase project productivity and communication

  • Ensure that new products are produced with the highest quality; comply with Pearson Accessibility Standards during development and completed Quality Assurance post-production

  • Own communication across cross-functional teams regarding workflow, process, and deliverables

  • Lead collection and synthesis of product requests from Portfolio Management to inform the development and production of IT and MIS MyLabs products

  • Manage multiple MyLabs products at different stages in the product lifecycle

  • Manage vendors for digital production, quality and accessibility testing, scaling repeatable work

Related Work Experience

  • Minimum of 4-6 years managing medium to large-sized projects/initiatives using digital project management tools

  • Product development and project management experience with digital tools; Learning management systems, courseware, digital learning applications, EPUBS, eReaders, other educational technologies

  • Proven track record of communicating and influencing senior level management and stakeholders

  • Experience managing digital content and workflows– planning, developing, testing, and deploying digital products

  • Proven success in risk identification, monitoring, and mitigation in planning, development, and production phases of digital product lifecycle

Formal education or equivalent

Strong academic grounding – BA required

Preferred: Project Management certification, PMP (PMI) or equivalent

Preferred: Agile education or certification
