Summaryof Role:

The Marketing ROI Director will perform a key role in theGlobal Marketing structure, developing and implementing analytical models toevaluate, report and improve all marketing investments and expenses in order togenerate best results, scale best practices and stop what does not givepositive results. Defining correct goals aligned with the global strategy andestablishing KPIs that will put metrification in everything we do is the bestway of creating excellence in Pearson’s marketing.

Mainactivities / responsibilities:

  • Buildthe model and process to enable Pearson to report and evaluate marketinginitiatives and investments, with clear ROI metrics.

  • Midand long goals definition

  • Defineand frequently report country marketing KPI’s, building alignment andengagement among our markets.

  • Establishmetrics and analytics for marketing communities’ platforms to evaluateengagement and help with insights for improvements.

  • Helpbuild and follow up the marketing budget process, understanding the Zero BasedBudget model and manage tracking the budget status throughout the year.

  • Fosterthe value of accountability with excellence in expenses management and help allCOE’s implement best practices.

  • Supportglobal vendors management constantly evaluating ROI and KPIs.

  • Supportour research and insights COE with data gathering and engagement of countrymarketing teams.

  • Constantcollaboration with our internal communication providing data and metrics thatsupport our messages and strategies.


Qualifications,experience and personal specification (include competencies)

  • Alignmentwith Pearson’s culture and values.

  • Deepunderstanding of a P&L and the impacts that marketing initiatives andresults can have revenue and bottomline.

  • Strongin building and leading presentations, with stakeholders and large audiences.

  • Advancedskills in excel to build reports and metrics for marketing initiatives.

  • Abilityto build and manage a marketing budget helping marketing to have clearvisibility on budget status in alignment with finance.

  • Experiencein turning a strategy plan into KPIs and metrics to constantly evaluate theevolution of the plan and gap analysis.

  • Communication andStakeholder Management: A track record of building and sustainingexcellent internal and external relationships (at all levels) who is collaborative and with an ability tobuild networks. Powerful interpersonal skills with an ability to influence. Abilityto appreciate the diversity of stakeholder interactions and adapt style andapproach accordingly.

  • Interpersonalskills with an ability to influence and build trust, in order to gather dataand feedbacks.

  • Excellentcommunications skills to help drive engagement and excitement, as well asalignment with the global marketing community.
