Mainactivities / responsibilities:

  • Understandour mid and long term marketing strategy, aligning premises and priorities withstakeholders to turn Pearson’s Global Marketing into a business growth driver.

  • Consistentlyvisit clients and deeply understand students experience and demands to helpidentify market trends.

  • Buildreport of the goals and deliverables of global centers of excellence supportingGlobal VPs on the Monthly results meetings.

  • Helpestablishing the rhythm of business for global marketing, organizing themeetings and tools that will guarantee alignment and resources to enable ourdeliverables.

  • Managethe calendar for global marketing budget process, with support from finance,implementing a ZBB (Zero based Budget) model.

  • Supportcountry marketing leaders, cascading global strategies, with focus in countriesthat are reporting, dotted line, to Marketing Excellence.

  • Helpmanage platforms to build Pearson’s marketing communities to leverageengagement of marketing talents around the world and help identify and scalePearson’s best practices.

  • Workwith Creative Services and Global Campaigns to support country marketing needs.

  • Helpto develop and implement consistent internal communications to generatealignment and visibility among marketing community and stakeholders.


Qualifications, experience and personal specification (include competencies)

  • Alignment with Pearson’s culture and values.

  • Experience in executing marketing plans.

  • Ability to build partnerships with stakeholders in other areas of the company.

  • Ability to manage a marketing budget.

  • Excellent communications skills to help drive engagement and excitement, as well as alignment with the global strategy .

  • Experience in building reports on marketing achievements based on performance indicators and ROI evidences.

  • Experience in dealing with different markets and cultures building engagement among marketing teams around the world.

  • Marketing degree or qualification desirable
