TheK-8 Science Marketing Manager provides strategic direction, marketimplementation planning and execution, and operational support for the Science productline.

Responsibilitiesinclude planning for products; researching market data that supportsdevelopment decisions made by the product line leadership; and working with thecross-functional teams to ensure a successful execution of the product linestrategy. The K-8 Science Marketing Manager is responsible for tracking markettrends, analyzing competitive products, disseminating information to the field,and creating product messaging that portrays the programs in the most advantagedmanner. The K-8 Science Marketing Manager will also develop digital andprint-based marketing promotions, and marketing campaigns, utilizing tools suchas Direct Response Marketing, Print Ads, Social Media and Public Relations. This position is responsible to ensure that key product features andcompetitive differentiators are adequately described to both external andinternal customers, including the field sales members. This position isresponsible for successful development and implementation of national andstate-specific campaign marketing plans to support the K-8 Science productline. This position will work closely with the sales teams andwill need to provide daily support, information, and training.

TheK-8 Science Marketing Manager will also:

  • Participate in the development of thelong-term strategic plans for the market segments and product line(s)

  • Participate in product planning anddevelopment work in collaboration with product development teams to ensure timelydelivery of market leading offerings

  • Gather and analyze data to support thedecision-making process for product plans and future development

  • Monitor and assess market andcompetitive trends and customer needs

  • Communicate with customers, management,internal departments, and sales to coordinate overall marketing and productdevelopment efforts in accordance with company goals

  • Manage the development of all sales andmarketing collateral including digital marketing pieces such as email, socialmedia, and website develop

  • Ensure that Sales remains informed ofall product information and updates

  • Ensure that the daily operations formarketing are maintained

  • Train Sales Representatives, SalesManagers, Specialists, and Customer Service on the complete 9-12 SocialStudies product line,

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 4 years work experience as a Marketingor Product Manager required

  • Experience in the Science marketis preferred, if possible as a teacher

  • Experience in K-12 educationalpublishing and e-learning highly preferred

  • BA/BS in related field required

  • Strong track record of working on cross-functionalteams required

  • Demonstrated ability to effectivelymanage projects required

  • Strong verbal and written communicationskills required

  • Strong interpersonal skills required:Must be able to interact successfully with customers, sales team, productdevelopment team, and product management team

  • Good time management skills andorganizational skills required

  • Experience in online marketingtechniques required , including email, social media, product demos(such as Brainshark or Camtasia) required

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, collaborativeclimate required
