Overview

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an innovative new online learning service that Pearson has launched in the UK. Working in partnership with universities across the country, the division provides online learning services including marketing, student recruitment, course content development, training and ongoing student support.

The role

The Salesforce System Administrator is the owner and administrator of the SalesForce.com database and application environment within theUK Higher Education Managed Services team.The position is the liaison between the Global Higher Ed Managed Services Team, our support vendor (Compro Technologies) and the marketing, student recruitment and student support functions within theUK Higher Education Managed Servicesteam.

The candidate

The candidate will have at least three to five years’ experience working as a SalesForce.com administrator and as such, demonstrate an advanced level of technical knowledge andbest practice. In addition, thecandidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where the delivery of an outstanding customer experience and meeting sales and retention targets

is critical. They will be self-motivated and enjoy working on multiple projects both as part of a team and autonomously as required.

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Technical

  • Work with HEMS and vendors responsible for configuring and enhancing the Salesforce.com application, leveraging experience with built-in admin, reporting, and development tools

  • Maintain data integrity through de-duplication, standardization, verification as well as the importing and exporting of data

  • Create users, customize and implement profiles, security settings, roles and data sharing rules

  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports as required by executives and users of the application

  • Provide technical support for Pardot and any other integrated platforms and applications

  • Undertake new programme set up tasks on behalf of the marketing, recruitment and student support services functions

Team effectiveness

  • Work closely with marketing, recruitment and student services teams to define and develop strategies for improving and enhancing the existing data infrastructure across university partnership business units

  • Design and create workflows including automated alerts, field updates, and email generation

  • Analyze user requirements and issues, provide best fit solutions while maintaining the integrity of the existing applications

  • Monitor user adoption rates and respond as needed (additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or other resources) to improve

  • Serve as subject-matter expert on sources, definitions, and procedures for capturing, accessing, extracting, and processing data

  • Assess training needs and create and maintain training materials and user documentation as well as provide user training

  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users as Salesforce
