Background

As an integral part of the HigherEducation Service Delivery team, our Administrative Executive will workcollaboratively with all areas of the Service Delivery team to support growthin new digital products and services and to promote the relationship betweenour internal teams and enabling functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organisingand supporting administrative activities

  • Organise and support keycustomer and senior management team meetings/seminars

  • Support management team innavigating their way through complex systems and assist in trouble shootingwhen there are Pearson-wide challenges with systems implementation

  • Organise and maintain keydocuments on the internal electronic filing system

  • Assist with arranginginternal and external meetings and functions that the Leadership are involvedin

  • Research and obtain keypieces of information or undertake adhoc project work in order to enable theExecutive Director or other senior management team members to fulfil theirroles or project objectives

  • Develop and implement newadministrative systems, such as record management

  • Coordinating the payment ofexperts and suppliers

  • Creating and circulating newproject records for key decision makers

  • Retrieving and circulatingdata from in house information systems

  • Managing selected digitalcontent assembly and upload to internal websites

  • Providing additional project support wider service deliverynetwork

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive working knowledge of computer packages including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet Explorer.

  • Able to work unsupervised on own initiative with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and deliver competing tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Able to write clear and accurate correspondence, minutes and papers appropriately tailored to the audience.

  • A confident and approachable communicator able to interact with people at all levels (internally and externally) appropriately via email, letter, telephone and face to face.

  • Strong analytical skills. Able to evaluate and interpret information to form judgments and make recommendations for action.

  • Deal with issues of a confidential/delicate nature in a courteous and diplomatic manner.

  • Enthusiastic, energetic and customer focused team player.

  • Effective time management and organisational skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable team member who can perform well in a fast paced and sometimes pressurised environment.

Business Administration Apprenticeship Framework – Level 3 (Advanced)

During the Apprenticeship, the post holder will work towards gaining Advanced Level 3 qualifications in Business Administration through work based learning.

As part of the training for the advanced Business Administration Apprenticeship you'll complete:

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration

  • Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and mathematics
