Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, tothe following:

  • Using soundknowledge of business, strategic, and IS strategies, translates businessrequirements into system solutions that meet project requirements

  • Participates indesigning systems, modules and/or approaches and required enhancements.Develops block diagrams, databases and flowcharts

  • Lead and take partin all phases of development lifecycle

  • Develops newsolutions and maintain existing solutions based on system specifications

  • Apply continuousimprovement to ensure best possible performance, quality and responsiveness ofapplications

  • Identifies systembottlenecks and bugs, perform root cause analysis, investigate alternatives,put together suggestions and present for architectural reviews

  • Participates inpost system deployment activities – acknowledge, troubleshoot and perform RootCause Analysis for issues. Isresponsible for overseeing issues through resolution

  • Help maintain codequality following best practices including (but not limited to) source codemanagement, code review etc.

  • Follows standardsoftware development processes and procedures, and uses standard developmentand support tools

  • Coordinates withQA Analysts to performs integration, regression, and other type of testing asrequired in a timely and accurate manner

  • Supports andmaintains applications and third-party applications and tools

  • Monitors andmaintains performance of packaged and custom applications

  • Provides 24/7on-call technical support on rotating basis. Responds to on-call issues in a manner and timeframe consistent with thedepartment guidelines, including ticket transfer procedures, if transferring isappropriate.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computerscience, related field, or equivalent job experience

  • Minimum 7 years of IT delivery experience,especially in Internet environments

  • Minimum 5 years as a Technical Lead onlarge-scale software implementations with design and hands-on development usingcurrent Microsoft tools and technologies

  • Minimum 5 years coding experience with anyobject-oriented programming with strong understanding on object-orientedconcepts

  • Minimum 3 years Relational databasetechnology experience required

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on coding experiencein ASP.Net, VB.Net and/or C#.Net development framework

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in IISenvironment with a good understanding of its ecosystems

  • Minimum 3 years client side scripting suchas JavaScript or JQuery

  • Ability to work effectively in teams isrequired; includes instances where team membership spans multiple businessunits, locations or countries, and/or utilizes 3rd-party (offshore) resources.

  • Effectivelycoordinate, delegate and manage virtual teams

  • Proficient with systems; enjoys working with new tools, worksindependently, takes ownership of tasks, processes and solutions

  • Able towork with senior management in developing and implementing new processes andenabling systems.

  • Demonstratesstrategic and forward thinking by conducting through analyses of downstream andupstream impact of issues and proposed solutions.

  • Stronglistening, and oral/written communications skills, includes theability to facilitate interactive sessions with business / functional personnel

  • Exceptional organization, problem solving,and analytical skills

  • Experience with systems developmentlifecycle and system management processes, including requirements management,design, configuration and user acceptance testing

  • Preferred experience supporting highereducation institutions with knowledge of marketing, recruiting and studentadvising business processes and related systems
