Key member of the Learning Services Sales Finance team, toprovide financial insights on business results and key strategic initiatives,execution of annual operating plan, and organizational structure. Partner to developfinancial strategies and objectives to optimize business performance to achieveannual objectives.
Supports salesplanning, forecasting and general reporting activities.
Provides financial leadership to inside
sales organizationto ensure effective spend and budget management, provides business analyticsand insights to drive incremental profitable revenue growth opportunities.
Drive customer profitability by partnering with key constituentsto establish annual quotas for sales, spend and profit to achieve the AnnualOperating Plan.
Identifies and drives spending changes to budget/forecast byuncovering opportunities and risks to annual/quarterly plans.
Liaise with key business partners to develop and/or enhancepromotional tools for improved efficiency and ROI.
Partners with inside sales leadership to developand implement key KPI metrics/scorecard to drive performance management.
Creates an environment that encourages information sharing,team-based resolutions, cross-functional collaboration and processimprovement/simplification to ensure superior execution.
Ensure that the financial terms and conditions for all majortransactions are accurate and executed in accordance with company policy.
Ensure all internal controls are in place and adhered to by all fieldsales personnel.
Reporting and Analysis
Deliver standard pipeline and other sales performance reports bydepartment and territory. Ensure reporting is provided to each level of salesmanagement.
Provide analytics and ad-hoc support to sales management;includes evaluating the effectiveness of new performance metrics.
Lead the collection and validation of performance data.
Leverage salesforce.com dashboard and other reporting tools tosupport sales performance reporting, monitoring and tracking.
Monitors data and provides analysis to illustrate sales trends,identify weaknesses in current sales execution and support future salesstrategy.
Assist and provide reporting to management in the developmentand evaluation of rolling sales forecast.
Engage with sales management to validate sales pipeline andanalyze forecast accuracy.
Work closely with finance organization to support regularforecasting activities.
Answer queries from sales management, finance and otherstakeholders and respond in a timely, professional manner.
Prepare presentations, reporting and analytical support forregional sales meetings and other events as needed.
Act as a strong contributor to an operating culture that makes possiblecollaboration, open communications, and a focus on talent development.
Skills and Competencies
Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel skills andPower Point
Ability to work with complex concepts, analyze data, drawconclusions, make recommendations while using judgment, experience and industryknowledge
Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions withlittle to no supervision
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to build business partnerships
Demonstrated knowledge of financial assessments
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
Excellent inter-personal skills, strong communication skills
Education and Experience
BS degree from an accredited institution in Finance orAccounting
3-5years of experience in finance/accounting with demonstratedproficiency of managing P&L issues, and interaction with a diversifiedcustomer base.
Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Business Objects and Salesforce.com are a plus
