In order to increase our effectiveness in helping people improve their lives through learning, we are looking for a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for the efficient and effective project administration of all projects including contract requisitions, project budgets, work orders, invoice processing, tracking and basic elements of production control.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for entering and maintaining information in internal systems, including project metadata when required.

  • Assist with research in line with Pearson research and efficacy criteria.

  • Accurately capture data and complete metadata sheets.

  • Arrange commissioning workshops and other project meetings.

  • Complete and track contract requisitions, freelance agreements and work orders.

  • Generate new projects, raise commitments, process and track invoices.

  • Communicate proactively and solve problems as they arise.

  • Control the flow of work in progress (e.g. courier, SFTP, trafficking).

  • Basic production control responsibilities.

  • Report on the status of project administration.

  • Feedback and follow up on work flow and status of all projects as needed (daily/weekly) and escalate issues as needed.

  • Assist with general office administration and ad hoc tasks.

  • Communicate inefficiencies and challenges in systems or processes and proposed solutions.

  • Work flexibly across the matrix structure to support Learning Resources business priorities.

  • At least three years experience in the educational publishing industry.

  • Can demonstrate project management skills

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or higher

  • A tertiary qualification is an advantage
