We areoffering a great environment to start or grow your career, we are now hiring for a European Director Of Accreditation and Endorsement to join our team based in Belgium.

Purpose of the Role

This role will report to the Vice President and GeneralManager of the Certiport division of Pearson VUE to expand our accreditationand endorsement footprint across Europe to ensure engagement and efficacythrough the use of Certiport Certifications in the education systems of Europe.He or she will also coordinate efforts with Certiport’s European based channelpartners who provide learning products, practice tests and certification exams torespond to certification needs of the European Commission throughout Europe (including23 EU member states). The incumbent will also work with key senior regionalleaders of Certiport’s clients (i.e., Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, etc,) tocoordinate our accreditation and endorsement efforts with the EuropeanCommission. Finally, the Director will work with the Certiport global marketingteam to ensure communications and messages for the European market conform withEU Policy initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • To strengthen Certiport & Pearson VUE’s accreditation and endorsement profile in Brussels, working through and with the following stakeholders:

  • The European Commission’s DGs, agencies and bodies;

  • The European Parliament;

  • Appropriate Member State Missions to the EU;

  • Relevant Certiport Client organisations with representational offices in Brussels;

  • Established Certiport European channel partners (covering 23 member states plus non-EU Europe)

  • Research bodies and NGOs.

  • To monitor, identify and promulgate insights into relevant European policies and programmes relevant to Certiport’s offerings; (10%)

  • To identify, develop and support appropriate opportunities for strategic collaboration with leading European initiatives, to ensure current and future accreditation and endorsement of Certiport’s offerings ; (20%)

  • To play an active innovation brokerage role between Brussels stakeholders and Certiport’s Channel in Europe. This will involve (30%):

  • Identifying certification accreditation needs/opportunities in the EU that are relevant to Certiport and its European partners

  • Analyzing the stakeholders needs and articulating their demands to match and position Certiport’s partners to be able to provide certification solutions

  • Developing linkages between relevant stakeholders and Certiport partners;

  • Facilitating action between EU Policy stakeholders and Certiport partners

  • Positioning Certiport and its strategic role for certification in Europe; significantly raise Certiport profile with relevant Brussels based stakeholders by securing acceptance, accreditation, and endorsement of Certiport’s offerings (20%);

  • Develop and communicate clear policy positions on Certiport-relevant policy initiatives and actively communicate those positions with relevant decision makers (10%);

  • The post holder will be responsible for managing the Certiport Brussels office and a portfolio of activities (10%).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred

  • Experience in working with education and government policy stakeholders in the Europe region required

  • Experience in industry certification, education and/or assessments required

  • A proven understanding of the European Union Commission's DGs agencies and bodies and how to engage the European Parliament structure required

  • A strong existing network of contacts and relationships within education arm of the European Commission in Brussels

  • Strong communication and writing skills in English required

  • Strong communication and writing skills in French and German preferred

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment preferred
