As an Project Coordinator supporting our Summer Internship Program you’ll have an opportunity to help Pearson VUE assess current state, benchmark best practices, define/document our program, and ultimately grow this key Talent Strategy to support VUE’s long-term workforce needs.

This position will also provide opportunities to contribute to other early career related talent strategies and programs. Other program may include early talent development, assessment and management, Succession Planning as well as other Developmental programs.


Pearson VUE has a global team of HRBPs, Recruiters and Coordinators that you’ll have a chance to learn from and partner with during the assignment. As your core work will be all things Technology Internship Program related, you’ll partner most closely with the HRBPs that suport our Technology teams directly.

To be successful in this role you will liaise with our Technical Recruiting team and Recruitment Coordinator as well as be expected to interface with technology leaders directly to achieve program staffing goals across our target campuses.

The Project Coordinator will

  • Review VUE internship program history and benchmarking other Pearson internship programs as well as those of other large tech geared companies by leveraging your campus relationships and networking skills.

  • Document current state and partner w/HRBP to understand 2014 strategy and budget parameters

  • Co-design staffing and selection strategy including the following:

  • Create on-campus event and interview calendar (Feb - April)

  • Define project costs and partner w/HRBP to present plan and attain final budget support from VP Technology & Finance

  • Arrange logistics including T&E for out of state Career Fairs

  • Arrange and support selection days including schedules, selection resources (interview guides, debrief meetings), etc to ensure seamless process and ability to manage high-volume hiring (20-25 roles)

  • Partner w/HRC & HRBP to create scalable and robust pre-boarding & onboarding plan for 2017 Intern class including: Program documents, Welcome Day(s) & internal web page/wiki management.

  • Co-lead event coordination PR, and attendance

  • Manage internship communications including blogs and interns performance reviews to ensure Program staffing goals

  • Execute and document 2017 summer program and partner w/HRBP & HRC to offer and onboard selected interns for RFT or return intern assignment - 60% retention goals

  • Conduct and document "Pause & Learn" sessions around both interns summer experiences but also manager feedback

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology or a related major.

  • In-progress for a MA-HRIR, MA-HRD, or HR Master’s

  • HR Internship Experience and/or 2 years of related HR or Recruitment Experience

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Previous recruitment or recruitment coordination experience highly preferred

  • Experience with a large, formal internship program and/or campus recruitment highly preferred

  • Event coordination/planning a plus
